Changes 2019

As you all no doubt have guessed by now, I’m a lazy dude.

Really lazy.

And highly unorganized.

Which is why I’m streamlining this blog.

Starting February this year there will be ONE RoF post post month. On the 15th. For December 2019 I will try and come up with some Christmas calendar stuff, but I’m not making any promises. January 2020, will either see no planned posts what so ever, or I’ll think of something.

Friday posts.

It ia apparent that I have struggled with these in the past. So they’re becoming something irregular. If they come, they’ll be on Fridays. If not, wait a week. Maybe then I’ll have something for you. If you’ve come for Playmobil (our stayed for it), let me know, I can do that. 😉

As for the people I have picked up on Mastodon – I have a backcatalogue. In earnest, I will continue to fight anti-science people.

GMOs, vaccines and Nuclear power are safe and are our ticket to the future, if we want to end world hunger, be safe from diseases, and curb climate change.

Earth isn’t flat, chemtrails aren’t real, nor are homeopathy, naturopathy, colloidal silver, MMS (aka BLEACH), and all that other quack shit. Go see a doctor.

Nature isn’t your friend, it wants 5 of your 7 kids dead, and you should be dead between 40 and 50. Unless you have no technology, live in a cave or under a bush, eat only what you find (be it plantbased or a dead animal) in a raw uncooked fashion – shut the fuck up about anything being ‘unnatural’.

So.

There.

2019. Let’s get rolling.

Take care, A.

Rancid site

My finger hovers over the blue square with the rounded corners and the white lower case f in it. A red dot is superimposed onto the top right corner of it, a white number in it.

Facebook. Notifications.

I find myself hesitant to open the app.
Reluctant to.
Sure there are friends of mine, friends half the world away, friends I made through Facebook. People I care for and would miss if I were to leave the site.

But there is also all the murk.
The garbage rabid people on the left and the right, the uneducated with their battlecries to educate oneself. All the wasted hours trying to beat (metaphorically) some sense into people, people who do not understand basic human conduct, basic science, basic logic, or anything else that a toddler learns, right after pooping into a potty.
The anti science brigades with their shit flinging antivaxxers, noGMOers, AntiNuclears and other subcreatures living on a flat earth. The lobotomized hordes of migrant hating nationalists, and their immense library of bullshit, as well as their equally radical counterparts, who believe violence and wanton destruction is justified in the name of fighting ‘oppression’.

All the data collecting sites and hidden apps, aggregating every detail of your oh so willingly and openly shared private information and life. All the fraudulent advertisements that are strewn into the newsfeeds, as if they were genuine posts by your friends/acquaintances, just to misguide you.

At times I have come to believe, that lower case f stands for ‘fuck you’.
Uttered with such a cold distance and in a lack of compassion and humanity, that it doesn’t even deserve capitalisation.

fuck you

My finger moves away.
I don’t want to open this.
I don’t have enough curiosity to see what those notifications are about.
I have better things to do.
Maybe later.
Maybe never.

Take care,
A.

Consumer protection done (almost) right…

As reaction to:
https://futurism.com/missouris-meat-law/

Missouri passed a law that prohibits the use of the term “meat” for anything that didn’t come from an animal.

Which is great!

If it isn’t meat, don’t call it meat!

If it is plums, you wouldn’t call it apples, now would you?
(Side rant: Why are these fucking cretins in the vegan crowd bitching and moaning about Trumps ‘Alternative Facts’, whilst living with alternative facts of their own? I don’t get it!)

It is that simple. idgf what you call it, but it is false labeling, more accurately, consumer fraud if you call Not-meat, meat.

It is this entire false labeling crap that must end:
It is soy juice, almond drink, grain water. Be honest.

It is NOT milk, nor is that other shit meat. Not even a convincing approximation.

You’re vegan? Good. Own that shit, and be honest about it to everyone, including yourself. Don’t pretend to be eating meat, if it is just crushed almonds, textured and colored in a way, that is a vague approximation.

Wash your almond-slab down with some Soy-juice.

But, as always, there is a catch, this decision also stinks of antiscienceism:
Labmeat IS meat.

May not have been alive recently (at least in the traditional terms) but it IS meat. Fear of GMOs and science in general is stinking through this otherwise intelligent decision.

Still.

A win for common sense.

A victory against consumer fraud.

Take care,

A.

PS: in my country there had been a huge scandal a few years back about “analogue cheese”, everyone and their aunt were up in arms over this. Today, they sell the same shit as Vegan cheese. It is NOT cheese, be honest.

Lizard People

No not the elusive, shape-shifting creatures some conspiracy nuts blame for the supposed existence of the NWO. I’m talking about us. Humans.

Someone once said that “homophobia” is a misnomer, that it is hatred, not fear, driving these people.

Well, actually, it IS fear.
Embedded in our very essence, buried so deep inside our make up, that it sits in the reptilian part of the brain, is the tribalism part. The one that fears things (and people) that (who) are different.

Different skin color? Fear.

Deformity? Fear.

Homosexuality? Fear.

Other language, religion, culture? Fear.
We are a tribalistic bunch, and we act as such. To borrow a horrible quote of arbitrarily bunched up emotions “fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering”. (I’m not here to discuss semantics this time, because here it fits, oddly enough.)

Homophobia, Xenophobia, and what not else -phobia, IS aptly named. It’s fear fueling the hate, hate driving these people. It’s the lizard at the controls.

But!

It is not restricted to the politically right, it is also the left, the supposed libertarians, guilty of letting the lizard take the controls. Fear of vaccines, fear of science (like GMOs), fear of and hatred for progress/change/diversity in all ways – it is our human nature, our lizard nature.

We do not understand this stuff / these people, which frightens us, thus we hate it/them. Out of fear.

Overcoming this lizard brain thing isn’t easy, but us having achieved what we have achieved this far, I think it is not impossible. We overcame other embedded programming of our animalistic ancestry. Why not this one too?
So. In closing, we must not fear, except fear itself. Let us overcome our lizard, and shut the lizard people out of the control centre.

Tolerance and understanding.

The crux of GMOs

Originally I was always against GMOs. As some of you might recall (or will read while browsing my archive).

Simply because we have more than enough food to go around, it just doesn’t really “go around”.
The rich industrial countries hog all the resources, throw much of the abundance away, while the poorer and less fortunate countries hunger.

But.

Yes, there’s a ‘but’ involved.
We can feed the hungry by planting GMOs right outside their doors. Plants modified to withstand droughts, or brack water.
We could grow meat from stemcells in the lab, thus ending the despicable conditions that many food animals have to endure. (Also ending those animals BTW). Perhaps some vegetarians who avoid meat for the conditions the animals live in will return to it.

There are sources crying out for outlawing all GMOs, and for more organic foods.
But there is a little problem my lovelies: Almost everything we humans eat is, to some extent, altered. (Also, not realising that EVERYTHING is organic, if it weren’t, it’d ooze in from another universe or dimension.)

No food-crop that we plant today is occuring in nature. We interfered with their evolution, crossed them (like through grafting) with others, bred only the most meat and milk producing cows and pigs, the chickens laying the bigger/more eggs, etc.
These plants and animals did not evolve like that on their own.
We altered them.
Even your most basic organic stuff is a GMO, if you break it down to it’s origins. We made it that way, just because we did it without a lab, does not matter. It is MODIFIED.

Adressing the issues with GMOs concerning the safety – I can not. I’m not a scientist, and I don’t pretend to know it all. Unlike other groups and people.
It is, however, funny, and it gives me reason to pause and doubt many claims of the anti-GMO-movement, when seeing that their sources for, or melting pots of, information, are also the same places the Chemtrail people and anti-vaxxers (proDeath people) go for information.

While I am opening up for GMOs, I also think we need to be cautious. Too often we rushed crap into production and flooded the market with it, only later realising there were either adverse effects, or better solutions.

The GMOs everyone is filling their panties with poop over, they need to be tested.
Human tested.
Gather a group of volunteers and supply them with this stuff, which was grown in a hermetically sealed greenhouse.
Letting the GMOs grow in open nature can be devastating, due to the same facts that brining foreign species into an ecosystem is dangerous. Native species, both benign and malign, might get wiped or at least endangered. Ask Austrialia how that went for the indigenous species in the past.

How long should they be tested? A year in the minimum, ten years if you want to make sure that the poisonous plants designed to kill pests, so we won’t need pesticides, won’t kille us too. Or turn people into poisonoues timebombs. “Venomous ejaculations” sounds like a B-Movie from the seventies.
But we don’t need to go to the act of making sex, a nice long kiss, and you (almost) kill your partner – no one want’s to be Rogue (X-Men). Trust me. No one.
Diatary changes don’t show up immediately. I ate a lot of Tobasco in my youth. A friggin lot.
It went well for some time – a few years at least – but after some time I got footed the bill. If I eat too spicy food now, an hour later I need to rush to the restroom in agony. And that’s where the fire is truly lit. (If you catch my drift)

GMOs hold great potential for the future of mankind. They should not be dismissed easily, but not rushed out foolishly either. Sadly often enough things these days (including GMOs) are rushed for the quick buck.
The next time one of your root nibbling friends, or some hayheaded politian wants them banned, remind them, EVERYTHING we eat is Genetically Modified (the “GM” part of “GMO”), because humans interfered with it’s evolution through (cross-) breeding.
Next time someone want GMOs released on the fields, remind them of Australia, it’s a prime example, but there are actually many more.

Until then, scientists, keep working. The future needs you, and the rest of us will continue to battle stupid, and remain hopeful for the future.
I want the future to arrive, at least in my lifetime. To paraphrase from Assassins Creed “Embers”: I know I don’T have enough time to see everything, but the way things are going, I’m afraid I don’t have enough time to see anything.

Suits.

Originally I wantednto write about TTIP and how much I hate the entire idea, and concept. But I have to admit that my knowledge of the entire deal is limited (as everyone else’s) and I could only rant around.

Instead I want to tell you about a pet peeve I have: SUITS

Yeah suits. It’s a pet peeve bordering on major psychotic hatred. Maybe because I’m biased by all the crap that has been raining down from wall street and its copies worldwide, but I hate people in suits. I see some schmuck in a suit, and I immediately assume he’s a liar, a thief, a crook who’d sell his grandmanfor the right prize (or businesses deal), a dishonest man who should not be allowed to breed (if he has the time, if his wife has the time, if the kids are even his).
I looked in the mirror at my wedding day and I had to work hard not to see a crook, a thief, a dishonest man. Same thing with all the men who attended the wedding.  I know them! Each and every one! I fracking know that they are honest people, nice, hardworking.

It’s the god damn suit! It is tailored for empty people with empty lives, money is their only worth, and their only measurement of things, and people, and time.
Empty, meaningless exisences, who steal, lie, trick and maybe even kill to get some extra cash.

And it is such meaningless existences who are the cause for the problems in last week’s post, and who are the problem in TTIP.
Feed them chlorine washed chicken, raised on GMO corn, given to drink only that water oozing out of the ground near fracking sites, give them the minimum wage and let them try to live on an island deprived of any bees (and subspecies of bees).
Let’s see how long the empty suits can survive under these conditions…

So they were doped.

I don’t get all the drama surrounding the olympics when they find out that a few athletes were on drugs.

So, what?

I figure that they are ALL doped, but only a few were caught. Keep their blood on file and test it again in ten years when we can find MORE of these substances than we can now.

Besides, look at the performance of the doped athletes. If we assume that the others aren’t on drugs, and the drugged athletes aren’t gold, silver, or bronze medalists – what’s the harm? How shitty must the drugged athletes be that they need drugs to perform “mediocre”? Without drugs they’d appear like regular people.

It doesn’t surprise me that anyone in the olympics was drugged. It didn’t shock me. And it will NEVER shock or surprise me. If you were truly shocked/surprised by any of it, then you are a fool who doesn’t see the world how it is

1507

Praised be the lobbyists, GMO Corn 1507 is finally allowed in the EU!
I just hope our farmers won’t use it. Let them learn a lesson from Brazil and it’s farmers: 1507 is supposed to kill pests, that was going well for two seasons, but in the third one – holy crap, the critters have adapted (dare I say “evolved”?) to tolerate it.
Now the farmers are back to square one. They HAVE to buy the seeds, for a higher prize than regular seeds, and because the vermin has adapted – they HAVE to buy pesticides. (From the same company that sells 1507, mind you!)

Now, why am I not surprised? We’re tampering with things here that we can’t even begin to comprehend. (You know my stance on religion, so fear not that I’m going into a rant about “playing god”.) Nature, evolution in particular, is WAY beyond our understanding. For MILLIONS of years nature had evolved, and only for a few thousand have there been humans around. We began meddling with plants and their properties only a few thousand years ago.
Now we start tampering with genes and look what happens: CRAP!
We turn food into poison (farmers of GMO crops sometimes experience ill effects of it, as soon as they switch back to “normal” stuff, they’re back to normal) and the pests we sought to kill with it, adapt.
Just like with fission and fission bombs, we’re a toddler wielding a loaded gun here.
It’s only a question of WHEN, not IF, someone will get injured or killed in that scenario. Perhaps the toddler himself.

Let’s step back for a moment and think of what we could do instead of the things we do: Solar panels and wind turbines can give us pollution free electricity. No more fission.
Throw the leaders of warring tribes/nations/factions into a pit, hand them knives and the winner takes it all (unless he too dies of njuries, then we rinse and repeat with the seconds in command). No more nukes and warfare. No mines that kill children playing soccer in a field.
Hedges. Yes, hedges between and IN fields. Keeps the natural killers of our vermin around. You know what eats leaf-lice? Ladybugs. You know what pollinates your corn? BEES, they also like other blossoms. So, keep hedges around. Keeps the wind from picking up speed and eroding the soil away after harvest, and provides a home for usefull insects and birds. Build electric cars (you can charge them with your clean solar/wind energy). No more CO2 pollution, no more rising gas prizes, no more stinking cities. (IF you don’t believe in global warming you’re probably an idiot, but okay. Just look at the prize of gas, and now think what you can SAVE when you had a bigg-ass solar panel on your house and could charge your E-car for free!!!)

In conclusion: Wake up to reality! It’s not all what you think it is. It’s not as safe as you are made to think.
