Writing update 19th Oct 2015

•I just uploaded a bunch of stuff for the next few updates concerning Whose World.

•I finished editorial for almost all episodes of Rings of Fate, only 6 to go, then new work starts….

•New Work!
Either my good old NaNoWriMo ideas will be revived (or much rather, finally tackled), or it will be a new project (SciFi again: “A.C.”), or another sort of new project (sort of a spin off in the SciFi realm of RoF: “Armageddon”).
I don’t know exactly. I also am toying with the idea of brushing up some old things (Naga, Mr. Zed).
We’ll see…

•NaNoWriMo to be blunt, I can’t tackle that. I’d love to, but I can’t.
I write (and edit) on my way to work, and then on the way back home. There’s just not enough time to write a “novel” in those time slots in just one month. So, yeah, I’m not going to participate in NaNoWriMo. Definitely not. But I wish you all the best, and the muses kisses for your NaNoWriMo endeavours.

As usual, take care,
A.

Holiday’s over

Now get back to work!

Kidding.

Anyhow, coming next week the new schedule kicks into gear, and that means as follows:

Monday – Story part
Friday – Blurb/Comedy
Every 15th – Crappy Birthday (unless trumped by a special occasion)

Yes, I am canceling the second Story day (Thursday) as of now. Why? Well, I a, freeing up the weekly schedule to make room for upcoming new stpry parts. Yes, Rings of Fate.
Sadly, I am not yet in editorial, but writing even more.
After I’m done with that (approx mid/end August) I will go into editorial, and RoF will start coming on come January. Long stretch? Maybe. But then again, once the year of BttF is over, we can truly launch into the future.

This is not my Friday post, just and additional info, so please, stay tuned…

Observations 170415

On recent stop with the family in a Café I made an observation.

People who sit there with their notebooks or tablets, and “write” or “work”, are actually sitting there to be seen.
They’re not writing/working. They are presenting themselves.

If you are in an inspirational flow, in my experience, you couldn’t care less for your actual surroundings. You do not go and seek out a Café to get your work done.
Perhaps it wouldn’t disturb you if you were “in the zone” and the cluttering, muttering and other noisy air around you buzzing with distraction.
But generally – nope. Just there to be seen.

Another sickening symptom of our ill fated times. Instead of writing great novels, plays, poetry, or getting that presentation done, people prefer to sit in one of the noisiest surroundings imaginable, to be seen.

I weep for all that ill guided creativity flushed down the drain of modern pop culturual, self delusional, narcissism.

Written, as usual, on the subway. Inspired by 15 minutes sitting in a café, annoyed by the cluttering, muttering, mumbling, humming, faint echo music playing, steaming, knocking, mess that is a Café (which includes Starfbucks on this one occasion)

Riddle #1

Let’s play a game.

This is the first installment of the sort, maybe there’ll be more, maybe this is the first and last one. The rules are simple, post your answer as a reply to this, or on any of my sites (google+, facebook, twitter, tumblr or linkedIn), or send me an E-Mail.

Here it goes:

Riddle #1“I am a creature from a SciFi novel series / film. Name either me, my homeworld or the novel/film”

If you have the answer, or you want to dwell on the hints given already – don’t read on!

Hint: There had been a remake of the movie, as well as miniseries and several Games.

Hint: “My poops keeps the galaxy running.”

Hint: Names of planets from this novel series have been added into the nomenclature for features on Titan.

Final hint: Patrick Steward played a role in the first film (It isn’t Star Trek related! Please don’t look it up on IMDB, that’d be cheating!)
