Changes 2019

As you all no doubt have guessed by now, I’m a lazy dude.

Really lazy.

And highly unorganized.

Which is why I’m streamlining this blog.

Starting February this year there will be ONE RoF post post month. On the 15th. For December 2019 I will try and come up with some Christmas calendar stuff, but I’m not making any promises. January 2020, will either see no planned posts what so ever, or I’ll think of something.

Friday posts.

It ia apparent that I have struggled with these in the past. So they’re becoming something irregular. If they come, they’ll be on Fridays. If not, wait a week. Maybe then I’ll have something for you. If you’ve come for Playmobil (our stayed for it), let me know, I can do that. 😉

As for the people I have picked up on Mastodon – I have a backcatalogue. In earnest, I will continue to fight anti-science people.

GMOs, vaccines and Nuclear power are safe and are our ticket to the future, if we want to end world hunger, be safe from diseases, and curb climate change.

Earth isn’t flat, chemtrails aren’t real, nor are homeopathy, naturopathy, colloidal silver, MMS (aka BLEACH), and all that other quack shit. Go see a doctor.

Nature isn’t your friend, it wants 5 of your 7 kids dead, and you should be dead between 40 and 50. Unless you have no technology, live in a cave or under a bush, eat only what you find (be it plantbased or a dead animal) in a raw uncooked fashion – shut the fuck up about anything being ‘unnatural’.

So.

There.

2019. Let’s get rolling.

Take care, A.

Announcements!

Due to recent messages I have received, which then were followed up by calls and personal meetings, it is my sad duty to tell you that the free loading times are over:

But before that: I’m starting a Daddyblog on here, where I will detail my life as a dad!

RoF is going commercial, there are currently talks of it not only becoming a printed series (with digital copies) but also a TV Series in the not too distant future.
My LATH (life ain’t that hard) series will also be adopted for TV, there are talks about it being presented by a certain cranky comedian.

By the end of the year the posts about RoF and LATH will be offline, and you can look forward to seeing these things on the small screen on a station near you.

Due to clauses in the contract I am not at liberty to tell you with whom I am in partnership with exactly at this point.

But I can tell you this much…

… April fools!
No one would actually buy RoF or LATH. 😉
Hope you guys still felt a hint of enthusiasm for me, if not, then you’re as low a person as me.

Take care,

NEWS: Friday 15th Jan 2016 (incl. RoF)

I have struggled to write a new post for today.

Several reasons as to why, coincidentally, today’s the 15th. So it’s already covered by the birthday post. Then again, I don’t want the birthday posts to interfere with the normal operations on this blog. Added Bonus, FTW.

Another reason was that I have a lot of stuff going on ATM. And the last reason is, that I feel the need to justify myself. At least a little bit.

You see, there was a lot of stuff going in the last few months – in the world, I mean. You might have heard of these things going down.

Terrorist attacks, lunatic people, refugee crisis, sexual herassment and mass groping (up to mass rape).
I have remained silent on my blog. Invoking the appearance as if these posts had been made in advance.

Which is true.

The other thing is, I don’t want the tragedies of the real world derail me. Yes, it’s an ego thing. Partially.

I am an easily enraged person, a (little) choleric.
So whenever saomething injust happens I get angry. And as many of you may or may not know, if you write shit in an angry mood, it’s just that. Shit.

If I try to tone down my rage fueled hatred, it ends up being empty. If I let the hate flow through me, the texts seem like tempertantrums thrown by Kylo ren as he trashes a room. (yes, I’ve seen the movie! It was AWESOME!)

In addition: I refuse to let Terror win.
Terrorists do shit, we grind to a halt and write about it. Our empathy, our outrage, our hatred.
Derailing our plans, our ideas, and changing our world.
They win. We lose.
Unless they shoot me down, I will go on as before. That way, we win.

Anyway.

This is the reason why I am not going to comment on all this crap that is going on in the world. Terrorist attacks, refugee crisis, (armed?) militias  forming in my country (that has happened only once in history before, and shortly after we got annexed by Hitler Germany…go think about that for a moment or two!), sexual assaults on new years eve, “arm length distance” reactions to that by the mayor of that city…no. I will not comment on it.
Maybe later.
Probably never.

Again, they win. We lose.

That is also the reason why I hadn’t commented on Lemmy’s death, or David Bowie’s death, and why I won’t comment on Alan Rickman’s death.

Regarding Rings of Fate: I still need to tweak a few things here and there, get the (one) graphic right, and decide on a proper schedule. I hope to have it up and available by end of the month, but no promises….BTW: My connection to Facebook somehow won’t function properly… O.o

Until next time, stay safe, take care,
A.

Irregular Update 12th November 2015

It’s mid november, and the temperatures are unusually warm here.

Like spring.
Late spring.

But that is not the reason for this post. It’s an update on stuff! With out further talk, here we go!

• Writing. I’m happy to inform you that my new project, which is essentially last year’s NaNoWriMo project, is looking good. It’s progressing, and taking shape. As with Rings of Fate (which will start to go online in January 2016), I have decided to write it in concise episode format (splitting each episode up into 3-4 parts when posting it), so three episodes are already finished.

Can’t wait for it to go online once it’s finished (we’re talking about late 2016, or even much later with this, so don’t hold your breath)

•Advent Calendar. Oh bjoy! Almost there – both timewise and creating it, just missing three entries, and those will be up there soon enough too, and you will be able to regurgitateenjoy!

•Moar X-Mess crap. Starbucks made the red cups. And people are losing their shit over it. Why on earth is this a thing? Are you retarded? You’re behaving like six year olds who want reindeer, snowflakes, trees and santa on it, instead of a civilised, stylish plain red wrap showing the matching green Starbucks logo. Get your shit together, it’s not war against christmas, it’s war against senseless kitsch. Take your reindeer, trees, santas, angles, snowflakes, snowmen and stars and shove it!
Grow up you imbeciles!

That was it for the time being, I hope you have a great Movember, a successful NaNoWriMo and generally a good time, as always,
Take care,
A.

Writing update 19th Oct 2015

•I just uploaded a bunch of stuff for the next few updates concerning Whose World.

•I finished editorial for almost all episodes of Rings of Fate, only 6 to go, then new work starts….

•New Work!
Either my good old NaNoWriMo ideas will be revived (or much rather, finally tackled), or it will be a new project (SciFi again: “A.C.”), or another sort of new project (sort of a spin off in the SciFi realm of RoF: “Armageddon”).
I don’t know exactly. I also am toying with the idea of brushing up some old things (Naga, Mr. Zed).
We’ll see…

•NaNoWriMo to be blunt, I can’t tackle that. I’d love to, but I can’t.
I write (and edit) on my way to work, and then on the way back home. There’s just not enough time to write a “novel” in those time slots in just one month. So, yeah, I’m not going to participate in NaNoWriMo. Definitely not. But I wish you all the best, and the muses kisses for your NaNoWriMo endeavours.

As usual, take care,
A.

Irregular post! 22 July 2015

I haven’t done one of these in some time.

Or at least it feels like that.

As you know, I have been on vacation.

Beautiful Styria!
Ancient, long dead volcanoes, wine country, and hellish heat!
In the middle of the heat wave, we were out there. One would think forests, hills and mountains would provide for fresh and cool air – NOPE!
It was suffocating.
For a few days our son had a fever and diarrhea, making the trips shorter and fewer.

In the times between touristy trips I had hoped to get a bit of “work” done. You know – children stories, comedic bits, Christmas calendar pieces, editorial on RoF, reading…
Again, NOPE!
Once the little one was sound asleep – I was as well.

Well, a week after we had come back from Styria, real tragedy struck: Our beloved dog had to be put down. 😥
Hurts really deep.

Good night cutie.

Currently writing on episode 67, of (currently) planned 70. I write an episode a week.
Do the math.
Once I am done writing, editorial starts. In January I intend to start posting Rings of Fate, so Editorial needs to be swift…and thorough.

Hope to find the time to compile a review post of some(or one) of our trips.
Take care,
A.

Star Wars, the force awakens

Okay, just a quick post.
First off, I’m writing this only today, as I wanted to finish an Episode of Rings of Fate yesterday.

Let’s get to the trailer now. First we see a dude who is obviously startled. “Frak! Those were the droids we were looking for.” Then an upgraded Pixar-Ball rolls through the desert telling us visually that this is now Diseny territory.
Next up we are given Space-Marines Stormtroopers. A woman on a speeder thingy, that is a bit difficult to get on to if you have no ladder, speeds off.
Followed by a few X-Wings over a lake. And now my favourite comes up.
A light sabre.
With a hilt.

Everybody craps their pants about this.
Why?
It’s a fictional weapon!
No one argued with the double edged light sabre in Episode 1!? In and off itself the light sabre is impractical, the hilt doesn’t make it less impractical, or more.
“It looks like a cross!” I hear offended Christians wine, and I say, let them. Did these fuckwits ever see a sword? If you are too narrow minded to realise that the original symbol for Christianity was a fish (much like this one: “<><“) and not a cross, you deserve to be ridiculed. “It’s a cross!” “No it’sa friggin ‘t’. Or a plus sign, or a sword. Now shut up.”

It’s teaming with energy, and violent in it’s shimmer. Good. I’ve had it up to here with the sterile plastic rod shaped light sabres of the past.
Aaand we see the Millennium Falkon. In some nauseating in flight action, set to the classic tune. Mouthwatering and Nerdgasmic.

What more can you ask from a trailer?
The answer: The STARS!
Not necessarily the stars of outter space, but what happened to Luke, Leia and Han? R2D2, C3PO and Chewbakka?
They’re there, I suppose. Somewhere. Behind a dune, or on the lakeshore, on the other side of the dark forest. In the Falkon.

However. The Trailer is great, and the discussion of the lightsaber is moot. A fantasy weapon is and stays a fantasy weapon. “Normal swords didn’t have blades on the hilt!”
A.) Search around long enough, you’ll find one. I guarantee it.
B.) What in the Star Wars universe is powerful enough to deflect a lightsaber? Answer: A Lightsabre. Therefore the hilt is of the same “material” as the “blade”. There fixed it, and the reconstruction is pointless, can a lightsabre blade go THROUGH another lightsabre blade? Nope! Hence the angular hilt is as useless as boobs on a fish.
This is the way it functions, not tilted, or any other way.

There, with a little Nerdlogic I fixed that for you.

Now my fellow nerds, go forth and enjoy the time until December 2015.

May the force be with you!
A.
