Changes 2019

As you all no doubt have guessed by now, I’m a lazy dude.

Really lazy.

And highly unorganized.

Which is why I’m streamlining this blog.

Starting February this year there will be ONE RoF post post month. On the 15th. For December 2019 I will try and come up with some Christmas calendar stuff, but I’m not making any promises. January 2020, will either see no planned posts what so ever, or I’ll think of something.

Friday posts.

It ia apparent that I have struggled with these in the past. So they’re becoming something irregular. If they come, they’ll be on Fridays. If not, wait a week. Maybe then I’ll have something for you. If you’ve come for Playmobil (our stayed for it), let me know, I can do that. 😉

As for the people I have picked up on Mastodon – I have a backcatalogue. In earnest, I will continue to fight anti-science people.

GMOs, vaccines and Nuclear power are safe and are our ticket to the future, if we want to end world hunger, be safe from diseases, and curb climate change.

Earth isn’t flat, chemtrails aren’t real, nor are homeopathy, naturopathy, colloidal silver, MMS (aka BLEACH), and all that other quack shit. Go see a doctor.

Nature isn’t your friend, it wants 5 of your 7 kids dead, and you should be dead between 40 and 50. Unless you have no technology, live in a cave or under a bush, eat only what you find (be it plantbased or a dead animal) in a raw uncooked fashion – shut the fuck up about anything being ‘unnatural’.

So.

There.

2019. Let’s get rolling.

Take care, A.

Writing…

(For lack of a better title)

As you may or may not be aware, I am at odds with my inner demons.
Constantly.
But, I have come here with this picture to let you all know, that I am working on stories. I’m writing, okay?

Won’t win me any awards, but I am out here slaving away for you guys.

It saddens me to say, that I probably won’t be able to make a full-fledged Christmas Calendar this year. If that turns out to be the case, there’ll be five Christmas posts. One per week leading up to the big date, and one for X-Mas itself.

You’ll see when the time comes.

Until such time, I’ll be over here writing, you’ll be able to read my stuff, and hopefully I’ll be able to spam you with Friday stuff.

In case anyone wondered what happened to Whose World – I scrapped it. (Because it’s garbage) If and when I’ll bring it back (all new stuff), I’ll let you know.

Take care, A.

Life ain’t that hard, Livestreams

Here’s how to do Livestreams:
Step 1: Don’t.
Step 2: “Hold on, you’re one of those blogging types, what could you possibly know about…”
Step 3: Shut your face and pay attention!

Livestreams are becoming increasingly popular in the last year(s).
Yes, I noticed.

And here’s where the problem arises.

It’s the whole soiled pants situation we had with TV back in the day – people having to schedule their lives according to the program.
Which was crap.
It’s why we invented the god damn VCR, to free ourselves from external schedules!
Decades later the internet was big enough, stable enough, fast enough.

Enter streaming.

We now coul watch what we want, when we want, and in some cases even where we want, in all shades of legality.

So why does anybody think it to be a great idea to make a bloody lifestream??
Again some Schmuck is making a schedule that others are supposed to bend to.
So here is
Step 4: Record that shit, edit it, upload it. Done.

Livestreams, frak that shit.

Take care,

A.

Battling pt.2

Yup.
Couldn’t make it in time.
Again.
Whose World this week suffered already. Hope I can do November’s RoF schedule on time.

Take care folks.

Battling pt.1

(Wish I could sit there right now…)
As I am battling with severe depression and all it’s crippling consequences, I find myself unable to uphold a vigorous schedule.

So my (depression driven) humour, my spite and bile for the idiocy of the world, will have to pause.
On occasion.
If I can’t finish a Friday post on time that is.

Just to let you folks know in advance, I am not certain if the advent calendar will be finished this year. If I am unable to come up with 24-25 (plus one for NYE) items, there will be a ‘five specials’ programme instead:
Celebrating the last four weeks before Christmas, plus Christmas.
Regardless! There will be no new RoF in December, or January! (Details well follow)

Until such time. Feel free to help a crazy person out of a dark place, by dropping a like, or a comment, from time to time. Ain’t got nothing against freeloaders, but some gratitude would be fine, at least from time to time.

Take care,
A.

Life ain’t that hard, writing!

If you are like me, you can’t wait for an opportunity to hit the keys and type away, writing stories. Or grabbing a pen or other form of writing utensil.

All the more delighting, NaNoWriMo is coming up! Today!

But there we stumble into the most devastating issue of them all, people who make writing more complicated than it truly is.
So you get “helpful advice” and writing “tips” from people who co-wrote a book on How to Publish stuff, with an astonishing track record of having co-publisbed the book on How to Publish stuff.

Look people, writing ain’t that hard, here:

1. You make a schedule, you end up doing homework. Chores. Nothing with passion. If you have 5 minutes or more, write, ditch the schedule.

2. You make an outline, you will probably deviate so far from your outline, your outline describes another story. Keep it vague, if you do outline.

3. You find a place where you can write, and I assure you, you’ll either write about the magnificence of that place, or not at all because you are distracted by the magnificence of that place. (Stay away from Starbucks, you pretentious halfwitted sacks of wasted skin!)

4. Measuring anything is for dick measuring contests, not for writing. Creating pressure with a creative process is like demanding water to flow upwards (on its own). Unless you are a type-whore writing other people’s ideas, in which case, know that I despise you.

5. You ain’t never written anything longer than a page: do not write a novel. No discouragement intended, but start slow. Essays, Shortstories, and then you can start on the longer stuff.

6. Editorial is done AFTER writing. Don’t get yourself down with that stuff while writing, it can wait. Anyine telling you otherwise, is deliberately sabotaging you.

7. Forget it. Forget all of it. Not your story, or great story idea, but the advice. The aforementioned six points, other people’s “helpful advice”. Forget all of it.
If you have the creative genius inside you, you will write. Pen on paper, stick in clay, on computers of all sizes, in the woods, the bog, in the streets, … doesn’t matter. If you have that spark, you will write. Before, during and after NaNoWriMo, for the occassion, or completely unrelated. You don’t need any of these oh so helpful advises, none of the wisecracking dipshits who co-published a book on how to defecate properly in public.
So, forget it. Unless you don’t have the creativity, in which case I must inquire why you … well. Everyone has dreams.
Go at it.

Take care,
A

Holiday’s over

Now get back to work!

Kidding.

Anyhow, coming next week the new schedule kicks into gear, and that means as follows:

Monday – Story part
Friday – Blurb/Comedy
Every 15th – Crappy Birthday (unless trumped by a special occasion)

Yes, I am canceling the second Story day (Thursday) as of now. Why? Well, I a, freeing up the weekly schedule to make room for upcoming new stpry parts. Yes, Rings of Fate.
Sadly, I am not yet in editorial, but writing even more.
After I’m done with that (approx mid/end August) I will go into editorial, and RoF will start coming on come January. Long stretch? Maybe. But then again, once the year of BttF is over, we can truly launch into the future.

This is not my Friday post, just and additional info, so please, stay tuned…
